On May 2-4, 2013, the Raleigh Police Department hosted the second annual ‘RALEIGH POLICE MOTORCYCLE RODEO’, benefiting the Special Olympics of North Carolina. The event was held in partnership with the N.C. Governor’s Highway Safety Program and Wake Technical Community College. It was an opportunity for police motor officers from departments across North Carolina to come together to exhibit and improve their skills through friendly competition in a variety of motorcycle skills.
One of the winners in the competition was Officer Roger Baxter (Center). He is seen here receiving a shotgun from Carolina Gunrunners for his accomplishment. Also seen in the photo are staff members Ryan Boone (left) and John Harwell (right). Carolina Gunrunners has contributed prizes for both years of the annual event.
